Finding a therapist who gets you can be a daunting and exhausting task. Whether you have worked with a therapist in the past, or are starting out for the very first time, I am so happy that you are here. Although it may be uncomfortable at first, therapy can be a powerful tool to understand yourself, build confidence, improve your relationships and live a more fulfilling life.
In my work, I practice from an anti-oppressive, client-focused, strength-based framework. I believe that therapy is a collaborative process and that you are the expert of your experience. My approach is eclectic, drawing from a variety of evidence-based practices including cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), trauma informed therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), mindfulness practice, and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. My goal as a practitioner is to help you reach your goals in a safe, empathetic and non-judgemental environment.
